Victron System Integration (Recommended Setup)

The V2 Elite is designed to work seamlessly with Victron GX systems.

Battery Comm Harness & Gauge Setup

  1. Plug the waterproof bung into the master blue port.
  2. Run an RJ45 cable from the master black port to the slave1 blue port.
  3. Continue daisy chaining: slave1 black port to slave blue port, and so on (up to 16 batteries in parallel).
  4. Set dip switches as per the manual.
  5. Plug the grey RJ45 into the Cerbo / Ekrano GX BMS CAN port. If using Cerbo Mk2, plug into VE-CAN1 or VE-CAN2 and set port speed to 500 KBPS LV.

Confirm Proper Reporting on GX

  1. On the GX/touchscreen, confirm the Epoch battery appears in the device list.
  2. Open the battery line and go to Details.
  3. Verify modules online equals the number of installed batteries.
  4. Verify total Ah equals installed Ah capacity.

GX Settings

  • Turn on DVCC
  • Set Controlling BMS: Epoch
  • Set Battery Monitor: Epoch
  • System should show External Control on the GX inverter tile while charging (not while inverting).

The system will automatically cycle to 14.2V absorption (minimum ~15 minutes per battery), followed by 13.5V float.

Recommendation: Manually program your MultiPlus, Quattro, and other charge sources to these same parameters as a fallback in case of CAN communication loss.

Non-Victron System Charging Settings

  • Absorption Voltage: 14.2V
  • Absorption Time: 15 minutes per battery
  • Float Voltage: 13.5V
  • Equalization: Off
  • Temperature Compensation: Disabled (No temp compensation)

Ideal Applications

  • Overland & expedition vehicles
  • Camper vans & RVs
  • Marine systems
  • Off-grid cabins
  • High-capacity solar storage
  • Victron-based power systems
